Pros
JM offers great benefits. Health, dental, vision, along with perks like salvage jewelry sales and a cafe so you don't have to leave to grab lunch.
Cons
CULT-ure!! Ever wondered what it was like to be a Mooney or live in Jonestown? (google it millenials) After close to a year there, I was terminated because my manager heard from a co-worker (who I helped get hired - mistake) that I was interviewing to own my own insurance agency. Upon learning this, I was given an assignment to write down my thoughts on why I deserved to keep my job, then presented it to my boss, who graded it. He considered me interviewing at other companies a betrayal. This was entirely unacceptable, because it ran counter to the group think that there was nothing better than JM. Officially, it was labeled "Lack of Commitment" Lessons: stay in your box. Don't turn your back, or there will be a knife in it. Most of all, if everyone claps for an idea, don't dare suggest anything else.
