Pros

- Company is solid financially in short-term and long-term. - You will likely get a good bonus every year, but know the executives/VPs are getting bonuses that are 5 times your pay.

Cons

There is certainly a good ol' boys club with VPs and Executives. If you disagree or challenge the status quo, you will be shoved out. Some directors and upper management use buzzwords and are praised/rewarded, but in actuality, they are clueless about the areas they are managing. Company preaches about their "excellent" benefits, making employees scared to leave; however, after leaving former employees realize the benefits are average and there is terrible work-life balance. Employees are expected to log-on to work during paid time off. There is a lot of talk about innovation, but this company is slow to change and adapt to knew technology. This is because all of the bureaucracy up top.

Pros

A strong company with a long history of success. Jewelers Mutual is full of curious and collaborative people that want to see others and the company succeed. I have never been part of such a supportive organization.

Cons

Fast moving company so sometimes it would be beneficial if we slowed down.

Pros

Good benefits like 401k match and a decent amount of PTO

Cons

Career advancement and compensation reviews appear to be extremely limited, even when employees take on substantially expanded responsibilities and perform work well beyond their original job descriptions. Managers who attempt to advocate for title changes or salary adjustments face significant resistance, making meaningful discussions about employee growth difficult to have. While the same people keep getting promoted.
