Very disorganized. They’re more worried about foolish meetings, starting new initiatives every other month, and sending out emails that the real work necessary for the children is not being done. KIPP Miami opened 3 schools in Florida without developing a curriculum geared towards the students in the Florida schools, nor one that targets what students will be tested on for the FSA exams. They tried to copy and paste the New Jersey curriculum and that was a fail so they then tried to get teachers to build a curriculum on their own. No true disciplinary structures, so kids are not held accountable since there are no consequences. Good luck behavior managing if you’re a new teacher. You’ll have to stick it out through a year or two of disrespect before the children respect you and you can get through a lesson, at least this is for the middle school kids. They treat the school like trash. The classrooms are dirty. The floors got waxxed in maybe 3 of the classrooms, once, literally one time all year. And we were in person from October to June. Yet, they wouldn’t open the the water fountains for the children because of covid. BS! Your leadership team will be phoney because they tapped danced their way into their role and now they must continue their performance to keep their check. They messed up their finances so you’ll have to come out of pocket for materials and wait a month to be reimbursed. Don’t question, don’t try to offer suggestions, don’t in anyway try to shake the already shakey table or you will be a target.
