Pros
The PEOPLE. To me, it is clear that this is a company that truly values its team members. Despite pretty much the whole company working remotely, there is a sense of family and belonging that I sensed nearly immediately. Assisting one another is second nature, almost to a fault. The Karbon platform has complexities but is not necessarily complicated. It's rare to find this, but Karbon's targets and goals are supported by its values, and Karbon's values are sustained its targets and goals. This is a mature company that is striving for world class performance. Its leaders understand, and demonstrate, that taking on our respective roles and challenges with a combination of joy and intensity is a great way to get there. Work/life balance is a major priority and people are encouraged to live their best lives and to be their best selves. This leads to a really happy team that does really great work.
Cons
While the product is (to me) not that complicated, there are areas in it that demand growth and expansion in features and functionality. The good news is that the Product and Development teams are open to considering good ideas to be added to the backlog. While they each provide value in their space, there are a ton of tools in the software stack that employees must have access to and understand, if not master, in order to perform their duties well. Again, to their credit, leadership listens to the teams and seriously considers ways to streamline software bloat and work to get data to flow between systems and tools.
