Pros

- They CAN offer multiple raises in a year, none of that "we can only do one raise a year on your anniversary date" and none of the "well we only offer this percentage of a raise" like I've seen with other centers. - Probably the best allergy system I've ever seen at a center: placemats with names & allergies, classroom allergy lists that are regularly updated, ingredients list in every classroom, all food labeled with names for the allergy kids with appropriate substitutions - Plenty of toys that are developmentally appropriate for the classrooms - Lesson plans are provided (but you can add your own) - Definitely the center that paid me the most - If they like you, you will know it and they will do a lot to keep you - Opportunities to move up from float to assistant to lead teacher and more - Honestly I really liked the Kensington gear we'd get, like the sweaters and jackets

Cons

- Some of the expectations, like with portfolios, are impossible to complete during working hours if you have a full class. - so frustrating to deal with super aggressive kids because it's nearly impossible to get them removed and takes forever to create an action plan. - due to teacher shortage, bad teachers aren't getting fired when they should be. - oh good god the uniforms. We used to have to only wear black or khaki pants and ONLY white tops. White tops when we work with kids!!! Thankfully the dress code has updated to include more colors but I'd like to be able to wear a striped top without it being scandalous. - very strict with who gets overtime - can be stubborn about a vision they have for a classroom but if you push for something and they trust your judgement, eventually changes can be made (like adding crib barriers to separate sleeping area from play area)

Pros

Very clean environment, procedures made things streamlined, amazing teachers and ta’s.

Cons

Elitist attitude regarding themselves and other daycares, logo is on nearly everything (even some of the holiday gifts kids will make for parents), so much structured activity to the point where we are often scrambling to get everything done, insanely strict dress code that workers are expected to be grateful for, slightly beige and cult-like.
