Pros
Nice people, business is quite successful
Cons
Too political, I was told to know my place. I joined Kerry as it is a successful business and has high growth potential. This is what I heard in the media. Internally the tune is different. Management obsessed with Lean and lean thinking, lean is a neat idea but has to be flexible in an office environment. No focus on learning/developing staff, the business goes external too much for recruitment. Internal staff should be able to ramp up to a new position faster than a new employee can learn the ins and outs (politics) of the business. I left after I applied for a job and was told I had the skill set but not the experience, job was filled by a college graduate. Communication is poor, conflicting info from management (corporate and regional/local). Expected to work long hours and always be available, but no credit. I worked a lot of weekends but my effort was never acknowledged. A blanket "thanks for all the effort" to multiple teams is not acknowledgment.
