Pros

-Learned a lot in the corporate environment -Bonuses can be very good but it takes some serious time with the firm -Good atmosphere -Opportunites to help with inside projects within the firm -Professional Growth -Management who has been there long term is very good. They have your back and are supportive. If you are showing up prepared, there is mutual respect.

Cons

-Prepare to work 50 hours a week on a salary model. This was my biggest issue with Kforce. Management expects its Recruiters on their own time to source for talent. I truly felt more and more was added to my day to where I felt I couldn't take lunch and I had to work past 5 pm resulting in me working 10 hour days. I was performing well and meeting my quarterly goals but did not feel that my achievements were being recognized and I was not compensated fairly for reaching said goals resulting in reduced morale and negative impacts on motivation. -Bonus structure is okay but very hard to reach. In the staffing industry, a lot is out of your control which can halt getting your bonus check. -The atmosphere is nice but several people in leadership are newer to it and getting their footing. -Moving up in Leadership or into an Account Manager position will take 3+ years and is challenging because someone would have to leave or step down.

Pros

Decent salary base, probably could be a really good paying job if the job market was better

Cons

Definitely a typical, corporate sales culture where you are defined by your metrics and your metrics only. They are money grabbers, and their commission structure isn't that great. After 2 years you lose 50% of your commission from contractors and they eliminated early release days before holidays. My office started becoming a "bro culture" and the leader was clearly trying to act like "one of the guys" with the males in the office. If your market is slow with reqs, they expect you to reach out to other offices for subs which is hard to do when other offices favor their own teams' recruiters. They'll likely give you a picked over req or one not close to the money that their own team didn't want to work on. I had to reach out to other offices daily to basically beg for a req to work on to hit my metrics. To add to it, the PTO structure for salaried employees is not how they described it when I joined. 17 PTO days total (including sick/personal time btw) and it is actually accrued throughout the year. I had to use PTO for sick time and a vacation, so when I left I had to write them a check for my balance! Talk about a way to really give someone the boot when they're on their way out the door.
