Pros
They offer competitive pay and good benefits.
Cons
They lie about their employment intentions and things such as seasonal lay off. I was told that we were having a "seasonal layoff," and that I would be eligible for unemployment for my normal pay rate for 40 hours per week. I was told I would keep my benefits. I was told I would receive a letter in the mail to turn in with my unemployment application stating that I would be returning to work after the "off season." A week later, I received a letter in the mail saying my employment was terminated due to "ongoing attendance issues." During my time of employment, I showed up for every shift, on time. There was no written notice of the seasonal layoff, only verbal. I'm sure they did that with the intention of leaving no paper trail, and having on the record that I failed to show up for my shift for several days in a row to avoid being accused of wrongful termination and having to continue to provide benefits. They are unethical. Oh, and the racism. I heard one member of management say "we dont hire ni**ers here."
