Pros

Seriously, just shop at Publix.

Cons

Kroger is a bare-minimum establishment. I worked there for over a year, and they refused to pay me more than 7.25 an hour. Too many supervisors and floor managers on the clock at any given time. They loiter and do nothing, even when we are short on baggers. (Which we always are) A mere 15 minute, un-paid, break for a 6 hour and 45 minute shift. This is a job that is tough on the knees and feet, and is incredibly frustrating and boring. No opportunities to move up in the company. They would rather have high turnover in order to keep all cashiers at minimum wage than reward loyal employees who foolishly remain with this company year after year.

10% discount on all kroger branded items $17.25 per hour is one of the better wages in the area when compared to competitor stores

Cons

October-January the workload and store environment is overwhelming due to holidays Slowest time of year in the store is during the summer when its hot and days drag ob forever Lack of communication between dept as well as between store management MOD adds insurmountable tasks onto your already lengthy expected daily task assignments
