Pros

Good leadership. Nice to have department managers covering each department. Salary was decent. Good communication with management. The culture and mission statement was noble.

Cons

Cut corners by hiring less employees while pushing high productivity standards. Grocery crew was always too small. Lower level employees had wage complaints. Workload was heavy and short staffed always. Time wasting objectives and accountability missions for managers, like having to stop productivity to take multiple pics of fresh product displays EVERY hour to send to corporate as proof was annoying. Often times had to work on my days off for no valid reason, or just to be there for a holiday, which seemed an unnecessary power move projected at salary employees simply because they could do that without further compensating them. Made to feel like by taking my vacation privilege I was putting a burden and strain on the company. Had to do an extra 10-20 hours overtime pretty much every week, but salary so no additional compensation.

Pros

Very little contact with customers. Night premium. Small discount on store brand items.

Cons

Extremely low pay. Insurance isn't available until after your first year. Head store manager has no people skills, a very bad attitude and is blinded by personal ambition. This infects the entire store with a glum, sour tone. In general, clerks and associates have a very bad attitude.
