Pros

You are on your own in a back office. No micromanaging. As long as the job gets done, you can work in whichever way works best for you. There's a lot to learn at first, but it becomes pretty easy after a few months.

Cons

HUGE workload, inconsistent hours and scheduling, very low pay, inconsistent policies, work environment is unclean and chaotic, several customers are unpleasant, bookkeepers make the same hourly wage as service desk and supervisors even though the bookkeeper workload is intense and requires more skill.
