Pros
It's a good job working in a grocery store as long as you do what you can while you're there and don't let the Kroger things stick to you. It's really awesome being a part of supplying food to large communities of people.
Cons
Working in a grocery store used to be such a fun job that used to be able to do somewhat more than enough to pay the bills to not be homeless. But somehow when corporations value profit over people it puts insane amounts of unnecessary pressure in almost every imaginable way. Emphasis on the unnecessary. The solution to every problem has always been and always will be labor. Many people have no problem with moving at a decent pace to get things done as long as there is a sense of accomplishment and feel valued. Within Kroger this has almost completely disappeared. Many of us just make the best of it and still try to have a good time with our fellow Coworkers as we try to ignore the the glaring heat coming down from Kroger. I mean, i could go on and on. But just look at Kroger's ratings and all the negative reviews. It's not hidden or secret that Kroger is one of the worst employers. And the worst part about all of this is that Kroger knows all of this this and doesn't care. Just like with most true life villains, in their minds they don't see themselves as villains because they've gotten so high up there that they think they do so much for people that it justifies everything else. Kroger could do so much better if they could remember what it was like to be human again.
