Kyocera was a powerhouse in the 1980s. They have not kept up with any modern technology or products they offer to the customers. They allow archaic management (is good 'ole boys, traditional Japanese management, etc) ideas. They have not stayed with technology to continue to be competitive. You will hear about the high retention rate, however this is because the persons that stay too long make themselves unmarketable by not being trained on new concepts or tech. Many people care deeply about success for the company however they are blocked by "we have always done it this way" at the top. They have an amazing philosophy which is only "do as I say not as I do" at most levels of top management (GPS FY19 being a prime example). President is SIGNIFICANTLY out of touch with modern business practices. He has deep dislike and anti-technology decisions frequently which only hurts the employees.
Pay is horribly lower than the market. If you get an offer ask for way more! They will not promote hard working individuals but may give a 1-2% raise a year (maybe).
