Pros

There are chances to grow and further build your skillset. The benefits are good compared to some other companies. Job security is among the best.

Cons

You will more than likely be paid below the midpoint of the comparison ratio. A good portion of the managers fall short when it comes to people skills; there are a lot of temper tantrums that are passed off as being "passionate" instead of a total lack of maturity. Cheapness runs deep, and people often buy their own supplies. My main complaint: There was a clear case of assault that took place at this company right around the time of the Walmart shooting in 2022, and after their obligatory investigation, they decided to do absolutely nothing. The employee who committed that act has been walking in every day with coffee in hand like nothing happened. Meanwhile, the woman who was assaulted is wondering why nothing was done and how unfair it is. The person who committed the assault is also female, and I wonder if a male would’ve been given the same treatment, but based on other past examples, one probably would. Another instance occurred when a man harassed a woman with no repercussions. The male in question was fired later on after subsequent complaints from other women over a period of time became too much to be ignored. The problem here is that the termination should've been much more expedient so that the subsequent woman would not have been harassed at all. To add context to these cases, none of these people have higher-up positions or are related to someone of power; not that this should matter, but it helps you get an idea of how someone of a higher stature would be treated if similar offenses were committed, and there are examples of that as well. Following the assault, the female in question harassed me on two separate phone calls outside of work about the same issue. I and the employee who was assaulted both made complaints, and I subsequently followed up with emails and text messages with HR, but absolutely nothing has been done. This is despite the fact that an assault should result in an immediate termination of employment based on the company's own handbook. Termination should also be the result in order to prevent the problematic employee from retaliating in some way and, frankly, to set an example because the incident occurred in front of many witnesses and having no consequences sets a bad example to anyone else who might try something foolish. In closing, you are much better off spending your lengthy career in an organization that will not let situations escalate and is true to its written word. Find a company that values your safety as much as you do and commits itself to a hostile-free environment. Whereas Kyocera has made it clear that they do not care about their workers outside of the labor that they can extract from you while paying below the compa-ratio, there are other companies out there that will follow their clearly stated policies that are meant to keep you safe and sound.

Pros

Paychecks come on time, they have a decent rep in the ceramic packaging world. I worked with some wonderful people.

Cons

This is not a sales job, your are managing accounts with no incentive. QA issues non stop, legal issues, payment, anything and everything comes back on "sales". Every day was a new fire that always felt like preparing for a deposition where each employee starts pointing fingers at one another. Horrible moral. Depends heavily on your direct management. I'll just say that I had emailed some of the issues i was having to my manager (something I've never had to do my entire career) and nothing changed, except that they had logged into my email and deleted it so there was no record. It was not a good situation.
