Pros

Unlimited coffee - that's about it. Good luck on getting anything else provided to you, you must provide your own HDMI cables for your screen, paper clips, note books, mouse, head set (you are not allowed to have take your virtual meeting on the sales floor without a headset), pens, anything Staples related.

Cons

They bait and switch you regarding pay. I was told that if I didn't make 120k/year, I would be doing something wrong, I ended up making just a little over my base pay of 42k and I worked my bum off. Also, if this really was the case, more than half of the sales people would not be in the same boat as I was. They make the ranking public and you can basically see how much money everyone is making. If you have been with the company for less than 5 years, you are not making money, even people with a bunch of industry experience weren't making money. I even asked a lady that was there for 3 years and had been given several accounts to manage how much she made, it was well under 60k. The people that are, are people that have been there for a very long time, that have a big book of business and 80% of their sales are to existing clients. Unless you still live at home or have a partner to support you financially while you wait it out, I wouldn't recommend. You are also encouraged to provide creative ways to get new customers, such as scratcher tickets, donuts, but all out of your own pocket. I was expected to drop off 10 scratcher tickets/day in a packet, sometimes the managers would help out, but since it was out of their own pocket as well, I felt bad asking them. They were just $1 tickets, but it still ads up, also the packets were in manilla envelops that you also had to provide at apron $30 for a box of 100. They give you $300/month for a car allowance which is taxed and they tell you that those additional expenses come out of that. In terms of the product itself, Kyocera is number 6. Kyocera competes against Xerox, Sharp, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta which are all excellent companies and 9 times out of 10, they are a lot cheaper. Even if the customer loves you, they will most likely end up going with what is better for their budget, specially since those other companies are ranked better. When I asked my manager, what is our main competitive advantage, he said, nothing really, we are all about the same. Even when competing against Kyocera third party sellers, they are way cheaper as well, because of the special agreements that Kyocera has with it's dealers. You are also asked to do your proposals and work not related to cold-calling after hours, since you are a "salaried employee", even though you do are not paid the California minimum salary for exempt employees.

Pros

Paychecks come on time, they have a decent rep in the ceramic packaging world. I worked with some wonderful people.

Cons

This is not a sales job, your are managing accounts with no incentive. QA issues non stop, legal issues, payment, anything and everything comes back on "sales". Every day was a new fire that always felt like preparing for a deposition where each employee starts pointing fingers at one another. Horrible moral. Depends heavily on your direct management. I'll just say that I had emailed some of the issues i was having to my manager (something I've never had to do my entire career) and nothing changed, except that they had logged into my email and deleted it so there was no record. It was not a good situation.
