Cons
1. Until 2023, this was a well-run organisation. Since then, upper management’s obsession with massive, headline-worthy growth has replaced steady, strategic progress with rushed, poorly thought-out decisions. 2. Leadership transitions have replaced a capable operations head with multiple new management layers for the India Capability Centre — Directors, Associate Directors, Senior Managers, Team Leads, Associate Team Lead and other Irrelevant positions — most of which add complexity without adding value. 3. Many of these senior positions are held by long-time insiders who operate with a “you do me a favour, I’ll do you a favour” mindset, creating a network where loyalty to people outweighs loyalty to performance. 4. Several individuals promoted to Associate Director or Senior Manager roles would struggle to qualify for even junior management positions in a merit-based environment. They are extremely self-centred thinking about filling their own pockets. 5. There is an unspoken “good book” list — those in it receive faster promotions, bigger pay revisions, and better project opportunities, regardless of actual results. Everyone else is left competing for scraps. 6. The company lacks a clear vision and strategic priorities. Employees are often assigned to projects without context, only to be later criticised for working on those very projects during appraisals even though the said employee generated the maximum revenue by working on that project. Project managers don't even vouch for a whole year of honest work during appraisal. 7. Performance evaluations can feel arbitrary and disconnected from the reality of your contributions, leaving employees demotivated and undervalued. 8. Attrition is climbing rapidly. Many talented employees have already left in the past couple of months. Without a serious course correction from the top, the company risks draining itself of the people who made it successful in the first place
