Pros

• Really fun and engaging engineering problems to work on • Great collaborative engineering environment. Can always ask anyone for help with anything you are working on. Have been able to learn a lot here because of the free information exchange between engineering teams. • Great benefits. They recently improved them as well. They were always good, but I am optimistic they will only keep getting better (talking medical/dental/vision here) • The daily lunch allowance they give us is my love language • Most flexible job I have ever had. As long as I go to the meetings I am supposed to, I feel completely free to get my work done at the times that are the most convenient for me. • Great remote culture. I feel like I know more coworkers better than at my last in office job because of the ways the help us stay engaged remotely. • Competitive compensation packages • I truly feel a connection to the company mission and feel like I am making an impact. There are just a lot of cool problems people are trying to solve and Labelbox is a tool that can help them solve it.

Cons

• No 401k match at this time. • Some higher up leadership roles have been vacant for a while which has been hard. They are working on filling them with the right people though, which I appreciate. • Normal start up growing pains as you have to bring a lot of people on and get them contributing quickly.

Pros

The people you work with day to day. Some of the best folks I have ever met in my life. Genuinely smart, talented and driven. Legitimately the only thing that makes working there tolerable.

Cons

Where do I begin: 1) Management has no idea what they’re doing. Individuals in leadership positions have no idea what’s going on day to day and have really unrealistic expectations. 2) The culture is do what you’re told or get bad mouthed by individuals with some degree of power to the senior leadership. 3) They somehow attract amazing talent and have no idea on how to retain them. 10 people that have been absolutely essential in growth of the company’s revenue have left in the last 3 months and they have hired 1 replacement so far! the expectation is people who remain will pick up the remaining work. 4) No forward momentum or growth from research. The company is reactive as opposed to proactive. No ideation and investment in ideas that could lead to business growth. How is the division meant to succeed? 5) Middle management exists at its finest and its both a resource and a money sink. If everyone on the team can see it, its hard to understand why the senior leadership cannot.
