Watching that growth happen in real-time makes the job feel less like "work" and more like a purpose. Plus, you aren’t on an island; the ability to bounce ideas off teammates and get support when a session is tough makes a world of difference. ​

      Cons

      The role requires a high level of mental agility. Every child is different, and their needs can shift from one hour to the next, which can be draining if you aren’t prepared to pivot. It’s a fast-paced environment where you’re constantly "on," but you definitely find your rhythm as you get to know the clients better. ​

      Pros

      Reasonable hourly rate for the position and the market.

      Cons

      Frequent unexpected changes to schedule. Reduced hourly rate due to client cancellation, hours worked that are not "billable," to insurance. Rate dropped to $15 and hour for such periods as nap time, client's being late, or client's canceling.
