4 on 4 off in my department is pretty nice pay is decent for the area once you start moving up

Cons

health benefits are a joke no paid sick time, have to use vacation to cover can't use individual vacation days without finding someone to cover your shift, otherwise its an attendance point

4 on/4 off is pretty nice, straight shifts instead of rotating is nice, 7% night shift premium

Cons

4th 12hr shift is not automatically OT, insurance isnt great, communication from both top down and bottom up is terrible, they say safety first but when someone raises a legitimate safety concern they downplay it
