Pros

Nice company to work for, good wages, straight forward job, decent training for positions, interactive colleagues, great benefits, excellent options to pursue other jobs within the hotel, you can sign up for fun outside of work colleague activities.

Cons

Ridiculous overworked hours, poor shift management, seniority doesn't exist in some departments, expected slave attitude in guest interaction, managers don't follow the "company values" the employees are supposed to, some in specific don't even approach the floor when staff is low, staff is always short because they can overwork a few people here or there with a "more money for you" pitch, employees looked upon as exposable, a bit of favoritism is shown in some departments based on gender, some people work over 40 hours a week without getting benefits, rarely get approved for time off, the nights given to be spent at another Langham are hardly ever approved, never go to HR, your problems will be made public, and their solution is to remove the problem (you).

Pros

Langham is an entrepreneurial company. We are allowed to be creative and our ideas are listened to and implemented. Great pay and benefits and colleagues are treated as special as the guests.

Cons

The hotel industry is not for everyone, the hours can be long when the business warrants it but once you love the industry, you learn this is just part of who we are.
