Pros
The employees and store management are great to work with. Customers are great, too! That's about it.
Cons
Where to start. You will not get a raise. Ever. Ok, maybe one, but seriously, that's it. Everyone is very unhappy. They demand a lot, but will not compensate you no matter what. They are quick to let you go for any reason. Lassen's has a very high turnover rate because employees become unhappy very quickly. Managers are constantly stepping down and employees leaving. The owner doesn't have a clue on how to run a company. It fails on every level. Things are much harder and tedious than they need to be. There are 20 steps that are not intuitive to do very simple tasks. Lassen's feels that the more steps involved the more productive things are. In fact, it is the opposite. Everyone from the store managers on down, are frustrated with how the company makes you jump through hoops for easy tasks. The worst micromanagement I have ever seen by a long shot, and most everyone would agree with that statement. You can't get anything done because you are being micromanaged to death! Again, EVERYONE IS FRUSTRATED WITH LASSEN'S. They also will not work around any schedule or allow you to go to school while working for them. An employee's brother just unexpectedly and he told the regional that he needed to leave for a few days to take of things, as can be expected, and the regional actually said, and I quote "No, you can't. Lassen's is more important." Seriously. That's not a joke.
