Pros
- A good amount of responsibility and ability to drive projects without being micromanaged - Growing company - Opportunities to move within the company and work on what you want - Fully remote - Unlimited PTO is really flexible as long as you handle your workload
Cons
- Things can change very quickly & communication is poor - team leaders were either fired or quit without any notice or explanation, reorgs happen regularly, a large portion of the hardware engineering team was laid off suddenly based on what project you were working on (not performance) - Leadership will force you to work on a new urgent task regularly and without notice for no good reason - Deadlines are unrealistic - Company is very reactionary - Pay is not all that competitive and raises are subpar - Tendency to overwork some people and under utilize others - Leadership does not listen to individual contributors
