Pros

Having the ability to help people who are struggling with their mental health.

Cons

Management only cares about billing hours and will burn you out in no time with a full caseload where you're not able to provide the level of care that you want. You will also be constantly reprimanded for not providing them with the amount of billing hours they want. They also expect your paperwork to be completed on the same day no matter how packed your schedule is with appointments. The pay is also not worth it compared to the amount of work you have to do.

Pros

The agency likes to promote from within and is open to new ways to improve services.

Cons

There are a lot of demands and it’s a high stress job. Lots of paperwork.

Pros

I enjoyed working with the clients. Other than that, nothing about this agency is worth your mental and physical health.

Cons

- Management prioritizes billable hours and high caseloads over quality of services. My caseload at the highest was at 256, and I was one of the therapists with a lower caseload. Also, they would limit therapy sessions to a standard of 30 minutes to justify the high caseloads when many clients needed an hour because of their risk level. -Staff meetings were repetitive and they always talked down about how the employees are not doing enough which is funny when you see the clinical director, and office manager actively posting on Facebook and other social medias during their work day that was not obviously for lunch or other breaks; but therapists were not allowed time to go to restroom or any breaks for documentation due to them connecting you with a backfill client within the span of two to three minutes of your last session. -Any time I would mention to supervisors about any concerns, it was a basic shrug of shoulders and lack of care from them. -HR introduced a new policy that employees cannot take leave without pay and took away all the sick leave accrual but replaced it with one sick day per year. They disguised the removal of sick leave accrual with the one mental health day as a way to support employees’ mental health, but I was not fooled. Also with this policy, it would require you to use PTO for doctors appointments or any leave you needed, which equals to using your PTO on doctors appointments and not being able to take care of your mental and physical health. - I completely burned out working for this agency to the point of the decline of my own mental health which was caused from the unsustainable caseload of clients (256) and managers wanting you to bill every second of your work day and gave you no time to complete same-day documentation.
