Pros
A very solid mainframe offering that is well known and highly regarded in the industry. A benefits package that is the best I've had. A great local office with a supportive sales manager. Numerous golf and chartered boat fishing day trips. Extensive and frequent training at HQ in Springfield, IL Dedicated systems engineer for each sales rep. Fast turn around with expenses and little questioning about expenses unless the individual totally abused the system. Excellent local Christmas party, fully paid by company. Plenty of travel benefits like frequent flier miles, hotel points. Most employees are proud to work for this company. What more can I say, was a great experience, wish I still worked there.
Cons
The distributed systems offerings were not priced competitively. A minor level of stress preceding the quarterly account reviews when the corporate management would fly in for the week. Far too much emphasis on Siebel. A CRM is always a necessity in a sales organization but they went to extremes with their requirements.
