Pros

You make your own schedule and work as many hours as you want. Pay is always on time. Communication with management and staff is easy and they respond timely to all inquiries. Reliable, there’s a flow of steady calls, some months are busier than others.

Cons

I’m US based, not sure how the people who work abroad experience the communication/payment part. In the slower months getting enough calls might be challenging so be prepared and save a little.

Pros

Ultimate Flexibility: This is the biggest draw. You can usually set your own hours (within a 24-hour period) and work from anywhere with an internet connection. It's ideal for students, parents, or those seeking a side income. 100% Remote Work: No commute, work from the comfort of your home. Low Barrier to Entry: Many positions do not require a specific degree or extensive experience, making it a great way to get into the tech/AI field. Interesting Work (for some): If you're curious about how search engines and AI work, the tasks can be intellectually stimulating. Independence: You are largely left alone to manage your own time and workload without direct supervision.

Cons

Inconsistent Work Hours: Many projects have a maximum weekly hour limit (e.g., 20-28 hours per week). During "low task" periods, it can be difficult to even reach that minimum, affecting income stability. Independent Contractor Status: For most positions, you are not an employee. This means no benefits (health insurance, paid time off), and you are responsible for your own taxes. Steep Learning Curve & Strict Guidelines: The initial exam is often very challenging, and the guidelines are hundreds of pages long and constantly evolving. It can be overwhelming at first. Repetitive Tasks: The work can become very monotonous over time, as you are often evaluating similar types of web pages, search results, or ads. Limited Communication: As a remote contractor, communication can sometimes feel slow or impersonal. Support from the company can be inconsistent. Metrics-Driven Performance: Your work is closely monitored through quality metrics. If your scores fall below a certain threshold, you can be put under review or even removed from the project with little warning.
