Pros

Remote. That’s quite literally it.

Cons

Where to start.. This company has been picked apart by poor management and even worse decisions. Gutted benefits, gutted wages, forced overtime. Team members are treated like robots and management refers to donor families s customers. They force team members to recover on individuals without consent from the family and then due to poor staffing issues won’t have the man power to honor those individuals, eventually leading to them throwing away tissue and helping no one. Worse more is these donors families will never know that LWVI recovered and that the tissue was discarded. They have completely given up on using tools that are in place to help find potential donors, instead forcing cases they know will go down in hopes they can swindle partners into accepting the case. Their morals and self respect have gone down the drain in the face of increasing donor volume and saving money. They removed management because they “weren’t fulfilling their obligations” yet the director has tip toed around the rules they implemented, changed criteria to fluff numbers, and cut corners whenever they could - quite literally performing the exact same things that they let previous management go for. People are leaving by the droves. Good people. Now they plan on bringing in 3rd party companies to call families with very literal experience in hopes of saving tissue contracts. This company is a sinking ship. You’ll make more money and have less stress working in fast food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Thank you for the time spent sharing this feedback. LWVI carried out change in the past couple years to our benefits, compensation, and leadership. This is to recognize and prioritize current employees while still being responsible stewards to conduct our mission. LWVI has compared these changes to the market or third-parties where applicable and have found we are within range. LWVI prioritizes and executes compliance in all operations. Former and current employees are welcome to continue the conversation of any concerns with HR.

Pros

This is the best work environment I’ve ever had hands down. Management is thoughtful and competent. Most people are super driven and caring, which makes a big difference in the day to day environment. One thing they do well is promote from within and really focus on doing the most good for those who need transplants. To me, the top highlight is the people you get to work with. Their hearts are in the right place and there’s a lot of support between coworkers. The PTO and benefits are good and pay has gone up recently. It’s also a very inclusive organization and very LGBT friendly.

Cons

Like many places, there are some slow periods as well as more intense times crunch times.

Pros

Great team environment with coworkers who genuinely support one another. The mission behind the work makes the job feel meaningful and rewarding, especially knowing the impact it has on others

Cons

Like many fast-paced organizations, communication gaps and inconsistent follow-through can occasionally impact morale. Middle management works hard to support staff but can sometimes appear caught between employee needs and top-down expectations that may not always align with the day-to-day realities and challenges teams experience

Thank you for the feedback and sharing your experience. We always appreciate hearing our teammates’ perspectives to see how we can improve and continue to operate with excellence. We heard similar feedback in the most recent annual employee engagement survey. Leadership has implemented changes from these results and is reviewing other potential changes.
