Cons
I want to clarify on someone else's review here about the "no overtime until 50 hours". This is partly true. Whatever you list as your desired salary, they will base it on a 45 hour work week. Meaning 40 hours of regular time and 5 hours of time and a half, equating to the offer amount. As far as take home pay every pay period goes; it will be less because you get taxed more on the overtime. But you'll get it back come tax time. Parking and traffic in Santa Monica sucks. The clique part mentioned in previous reviews is true as well, but I've experienced similar among companies with long standing "OG" members. However, a lot of the people that work here are great. There is a sort of a rank. Staff employees are hired directly through Luma. Most employees are on contract however. Management makes a point of dangling the possibility of becoming staff a lot Be prepared to have your contract renewed last minute(or not), which makes it sort of ironic how the structure is of a 9-7 job still leaves you with the uncertainty of whether you are going to have to find a new job.
