Pros

I joined Luxury Presence with high hopes, attracted by the company's reputation and the prospect of working with smart and talented individuals. However, my time at Luxury Presence has been a mixed bag, with several significant issues that overshadowed the positive aspects. Let's start with the positives. The company undeniably hires some incredibly bright and talented individuals, and working alongside them has been a privilege. Collaborating with such peers has been the only saving grace in an otherwise disappointing work environment.

Cons

Regrettably, Luxury Presence suffers from a series of significant flaws that hinder its overall potential. Unfair treatment and favoritism are prevalent issues within the company, making it challenging to maintain a fair and equitable workplace. This culture of favoritism not only creates a sense of resentment among employees but also hampers their motivation and enthusiasm. Another glaring issue at Luxury Presence is the lack of diversity within the organization. While it is commendable to see an adequate representation of women in the company, the severe underrepresentation of peers of color is deeply concerning especially in management roles. Career advancement opportunities at Luxury Presence are sorely lacking. Despite dedicated efforts and hard work, I witnessed little to no progress in terms of professional growth. The absence of a clear career path or support for employees looking to expand their skills and responsibilities is deeply demoralizing. It becomes apparent that personal connections and politics hold more weight than merit and achievements when it comes to promotions and career development. Compensation is another area of concern. Pay discrepancies within the company are significant, and it's disheartening to see such disparities go unaddressed. This lack of fairness in compensation further fuels feelings of frustration and inequality among employees. One of the most problematic aspects of Luxury Presence is the toxic micromanagement culture. Employees are constantly subjected to intrusive oversight and control, leaving little room for autonomy and creativity. This level of micromanagement stifles innovation and prevents individuals from fully utilizing their skills and expertise. It fosters an environment of distrust and constant pressure, resulting in a detrimental impact on overall productivity and job satisfaction. Furthermore, a prevailing sense of being unheard pervades the organization. Despite expressing concerns and suggestions, employees often feel that their voices go unheard and their feedback is disregarded. This lack of open communication and receptiveness from management only exacerbates the feeling of dissatisfaction and disconnection. Lastly, the workload at Luxury Presence is overwhelming and often feels unsurmountable. The company expects its employees to take on an excessive amount of work without providing adequate resources or support. This relentless pressure contributes to burnout and significantly diminishes work-life balance. In conclusion, while Luxury Presence boasts talented individuals, the company falls short in several critical areas. The prevalent issues of unfair treatment, favoritism, limited career advancement opportunities, large pay discrepancies, toxic micromanagement, and an overwhelming workload create a highly disheartening work environment. Unless substantial changes are made to address these concerns, I would caution potential employees to carefully consider their options before joining Luxury Presence.

Pros

- high agency, lots of room to make an impact - expectations are high but tons of opportunity for growth if you're performing - accessible, down-to-earth management and leadership - incredible, kind, and hard working coworkers - you 100% get out of this company what you put into it, commitment is rewarded

Cons

- very start-up-y still, things change fast and not everything is executed perfectly the first time - similar to the above point, but there are definitely growing pains. the company is successful and scaling rapidly which means we're often figuring things out on the fly as a team

Pros

There is NOTHING positive about this place!!!

Cons

Do not let the interviews fool you. The executive team can be polished and persuasive, but what they promise bears no resemblance to reality. I was recruited for a senior leadership role and it became the worst experience of my career. They told me the first ninety days would be learning. My charter was changed twice in the first six weeks. Zero consistency, zero direction, just constant pivoting. I got zero constructive feedback my whole time there. The team was too “busy” to onboard me or help me figure out the complex political environment (think high school clique). The Chief Product Officer was never bought into my role — it felt like I was pushed onto him unwillingly. Very negligent hiring practices. Leadership micromanages through daily Loom video updates, which is as ineffective as it sounds. They claim a six week roadmap but it’s really two weeks. They use AI as an excuse to avoid actual planning. When I raised concerns, I was let go in under two months. The severance was an insult. You cannot join as a leader when your team doesn’t want you there and leadership has no vision for your role or keeps changing your charter. Not ready for senior talent in any department. This is a WARNING- don’t join this company!!! You’ll end up unemployed.
