Pros
A potentially decent market for growth. Being located in two areas, San Jose and Emeryville, widened the commute options, although both are difficult/congested areas to get to. Company had good benefits, good pay.
Cons
Seen my fair share of arrogant, self-centered, know-it-alls but Lyris took it to a new level. After making several critical marketing miscues, one particular person (not the CEO) blamed everyone around him and ultimately fired a half dozen senior mgmt reports (director to VP level). It was an environment where you absolutely could not disagree, there was no room for debate and thoughtful discussion. Company is driven by youth that believe they are right 24/7. Not a company for experienced, seasoned professionals (i.e., 48+ years old).
