Pros
Nice facilities - smart staff - interesting and unique portfolio of work
Cons
Endless VP and C-level staff expansion (more VP+ hires in 3 years than in my own department (as we're RIF'ing tech staff). Cutting back on hiring (even to replace staff who leave voluntarily). Reducing staff benefits and raising prices for the ones that remain with transparent spin to make it sound like a positive. Perplexing priority shifts and focus changes with short fuses that drop out of the sky with the only reason (seemingly) being to "keep up with the Jones's" or because the industry is moving in that direction and we can't be left behind. While there is some logic and truth to that, the rapid changes in direction leave staff and middle management confused on what to focus on in any given moment. If everything is a high priority, then NOTHING can truly become a high priority. It wears on you...
