Pros
Young professionals can get a great introduction to the distribution sector of the Oil & Gas Industry via MRC Global. Right in the heart of the Energy capitol, MRC gives employees good exposure to products and the selling thereof. Good entry-level networking, both with vendors/suppliers and clients.
Cons
Pay-scale is not as competitive as per industry standards. Level or responsibility is sometimes not in line with level of pay, the former usualy outweighing the latter. MRC is riddled with instances of nepotism or cronyism, and are usually the first to receive promotion. Merit is not always the prime factor in career progression.
