Pros

Excellent benefits and pay. Superior product offering. Ability to manage pricing to customers. Top of the line electronics to assist in your job.

Cons

Every day you feel like you have been beaten. The criticism and personal assumptions that they make about you and other associates with only a speck of information is horrible. The open door policy is used as a weapon against you. The have a policy of shooting the messenger and ignoring the message. Everything you say and do can and will be used against you at a later date. They want their managers to keep CIA or FBI type files on all employees (associates). They want you to live, eat and breather MSC. The culture is a CULT! Everything is set up to benefit the company. HR runs the company, hands down. Sales are only a secondary function when in conflict with HR. Too many meetings. Too many conference calls. Too many programs. Too many goals. Too many clicks. Sales commission thresholds are out of control. Expect to make a little commission every other year. Everyone is watching you and taking notes on everything you say and do. If you are willing to go along with everything without offering ideas or challenging conventional thought, you will do well. If you are a forward thingking problem solver, out of the box kind of person, DO NOT get entangled with these people. They will suck the soul right out of you. This was the worst experience of my long career and the biggest carrer mistake that I have ever made. There is no work life balance here, none. They expect you to work at least 9 hours per day then go home and give them an additional 3 or 4 for training and paperwork and email. Absurd.

Pros

Salary is good, office is nice

Cons

MSC has a new CEO and several external executive leaders who have joined the organization with a clear vision to transform the business. The people are genuinely good and committed, but many of the company’s systems, distribution processes, and technology are significantly outdated. The company recognizes the need for transformation, which is why it has brought in experienced external leadership. However, there appears to be a gap between the transformation vision and the level of investment required to execute it. Large-scale initiatives often face resource and funding constraints, making it difficult to move at the pace needed
