Pros

Lower level employees are knowledgeable. Has pockets of good people.

Cons

Inept at process definition and deployment in all operational areas. Employees not valued for what they bring to the table. C level and VP level team is a joke, they lack insight and forward thinking. The company is being run by individuals who should have retired a decade ago. It is being run into the ground with no defined vision for future. "Backstabbing" at the senior level. It's a good thing they made a quality product in Tokyo, it's the only reason the company is still afloat, as management is incompetent. Lack of respect and intelligence No integrity, absolutely no trust, and secrets everywhere

Pros

Work load varies sometimes more sometimes less. Managers usually pretty reasonable about time off requests. Recently increased from 2 to 3 weeks of vacation per year for new hires and added a buyback option for unused vacation.

Cons

Negotiate hard for higher starting pay because once you're in you're only getting marginal increases. Career progression is slow and dependent on relationships more than hard skills. Training is trial by fire far more often than anything formal. Lots of people coasting by while others work hard and get practically nothing but experience in return. Yearly "PPP" reviews are practically pointless and dont make much of a difference in your pay. Company loves to give out 2-3% "raises" per year which amount to nothing more than cost of living adjustments when you factor in inflation. Certain departments and jobs are hard to transfer out of once you're in. Management is a mixed bag some good managers but most are not. It depends on the managers market segment. Many good people have quit over certain managers.
