Pros
These past 2 years at Marin Software have been especially helpful in my career as a software developer. Coming from a big tech company with 5000+ employees to here at Marin where we have around 500ish, I am a big fish in a small pond and I have had so much of my personal contributions be added to our Platform Product. It is very rewarding to collaborate with many different teams (Ops, Bidding, FrontEnd, Platform) all around the world, as I did not get exposed to a lot of this at my previous job because it was so isolating. Not to mention, visibility with upper management here is so appreciated as our Head of Engineering and CTO sit on the floor with us and are easily available for us to ask questions. I feel like I matter and that I am valued for all that I can bring here, and I look forward to advancing to a “Senior” level position here at Marin. And our PTO Time Off Policy is so great! It provides me plenty of time to visit my family which I love!
Cons
I don’t know a lot of people on the other floor. We have 2 floors here and sometimes it can be hard to interact with the other floor given that we used to have a lot more Happy Hours/Social Events than we do now. More is happening during the holidays so that’s better to see more of our staff on both floors.
