Pros
The people there are friendly and fun to work with.
Cons
Many years back the company went through a major executive shakeup and the new exec team that came in fumbled the planning and development of the new MarinOne platform so bad that even today the company is struggling make it it's reliable single sign-on platform. The original founders returned many years now for but things are not getting better. The company is riddled with frequent layoffs, unable to hold onto valued employees, outdated engineering practices (not using devops) and prioritizes one-off custom solutions for customers instead of really focusing on developing new and innovative standardized tools that would help them standout in the martech space. Unfortunately, when you look at the stock history you will see a continuous slide downwards with a few blips here and there from unfounded rumors of a company buyout. As is, there isn't enough money or engineering resources needed to turn the company around so the company floats aimlessly barely keeping it's head above water. Even promotions were hard to come by with failure from management to help with career development or clear paths towards advancement within teams. Too many promotions are given as retention bonuses when it's too late instead of rewarding employee for their work. I don't feel good saying any of this. I had high hopes and it was a promising company. It's just a shame the company was brought down by management not knowing how to properly run a saas company.
