We are pleased to hear that you found working with the students rewarding and that you appreciated the learning opportunities, as well as the structure of the school schedule and paid trainings. We understand how important these factors are and aim to maintain these aspects of the position.
We are disappointed that you perceived your workplace environment to be unsuitable. We addressed this with Day School administration and know that they take the subject of bullying and harassment very seriously so it can be investigated and addressed. The director reminds staff regularly to bring any issues of this sort to her, so we wished you had done that while still employed at Marklund. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all employees and we will bring the subject up at in-service meetings to make sure staff always feel comfortable about reaching out to a supervisor or someone in HR.
Regarding the concern about sign-on bonuses, we would like to clarify that Marklund does indeed offer sign-on bonuses for all positions where they are advertised as part of our effort to attract and retain talented team members. We’re sorry if there was any confusion or misunderstanding in your experience. We encourage our employees to reach out to our HR team with any questions they have concerning bonuses.
