Pros

No workplace is perfect. Maven is a privately held startup experiencing significant growth as we approach our next phase. Any rapidly scaling company requires navigating the challenges that come with expansion, including strategic leadership additions and organizational evolution. It also requires the ability as a professional to adapt and pivot as needed. The "sales director" who claims Maven is a "dark place" has stated several inaccuracies in their review I want to address. Things are going well for Maven - our numbers and growth speak for itself. Our new COO joined recently with strong relevant experience and is making positive contributions as she ramps up. The majority of our sales team has either hit quota or is on track to do so. Speaking for myself and colleagues I work closely with, we find the team collaborative, supportive, and fun. We do not make bets on who is leaving first. Startup life isn’t for everyone, and that’s ok. It requires adaptability and comfort with change. If you are looking for a steady, predictable, slow paced career without metrics tied to your performance, the USPS would be a great option. But if you are seeking a mission-driven company with a leading product and are willing to put in the effort for a challenging and rewarding step in your career, you will find that at Maven.

Cons

mentioned above - all of the growing pains that will come with a high growth start up.

Pros

I joined Maven in September because the mission resonated, and the work genuinely lives up to it. The impact on members isn't marketing language. It's the actual product of what people here do every day. A few things that have stood out: - I've already been promoted, which says a lot about how the company recognizes contribution and growth. - I have real autonomy to own my work and move things forward without being bottlenecked. - The culture is collaborative in a way that's rare, and people across the org have been generous with their time and support. If you care about doing meaningful work and want to be somewhere that bets on you early, Maven is worth a serious look.

Cons

Fast paced environment, but that's expected (and honestly part of the appeal) for a company in this stage of growth.

Pros

Met some coworkers turned life long friends

Cons

This place destroyed my mental health. Management does not care about you, they only care about the numbers on the paper.
