Pros

At the time of my employment I had excellent coworkers and a supportive manager. No phones and a focus on women's healthcare in ways that mattered to me.

Cons

The place became very focused on alternative offerings, introduced phone support in departments where it hadn't been required at the time of hire, and many talented individuals started to leave because of the shift in focus and/or job requirements. Interdepartmental toxicity was rampant and ultimately the reason for my departure, as I got the distinct impression that persons in other departments did not value the efforts of the member services team whenever I interacted with them (a few exceptions, of course, but that was the pervasive theme)

Pros

I joined Maven in September because the mission resonated, and the work genuinely lives up to it. The impact on members isn't marketing language. It's the actual product of what people here do every day. A few things that have stood out: - I've already been promoted, which says a lot about how the company recognizes contribution and growth. - I have real autonomy to own my work and move things forward without being bottlenecked. - The culture is collaborative in a way that's rare, and people across the org have been generous with their time and support. If you care about doing meaningful work and want to be somewhere that bets on you early, Maven is worth a serious look.

Cons

Fast paced environment, but that's expected (and honestly part of the appeal) for a company in this stage of growth.

This place destroyed my mental health. Management does not care about you, they only care about the numbers on the paper.
