Pros

Women's healthcare is an exciting mission and there are some great people on the team.

Cons

I've never seen so much bullying and gossiping in a professional environment, and almost all of it stems from the CEO. I saw a lot of great employees fall out of her favor, usually for not meeting her always-changing standards, and be made to feel like they were incompetent and unimportant. It usually ended with them getting so demoralized or fed up that they left before they could get fired. Generally seemed like people with the smallest amount of direct exposure to her were the happiest (sales and IT always seemed fine).

Pros

I joined Maven in September because the mission resonated, and the work genuinely lives up to it. The impact on members isn't marketing language. It's the actual product of what people here do every day. A few things that have stood out: - I've already been promoted, which says a lot about how the company recognizes contribution and growth. - I have real autonomy to own my work and move things forward without being bottlenecked. - The culture is collaborative in a way that's rare, and people across the org have been generous with their time and support. If you care about doing meaningful work and want to be somewhere that bets on you early, Maven is worth a serious look.

Cons

Fast paced environment, but that's expected (and honestly part of the appeal) for a company in this stage of growth.

This place destroyed my mental health. Management does not care about you, they only care about the numbers on the paper.
