Pros
I have been at Maven close to one year and have enjoyed every minute of it. Everyday there seems to be a new challenge and opportunity to tackle. We are solving real life problems and helping people along the path to parenthood. I am fortunate to work with multiple teams across Maven and see firsthand how we help create a phenomenal experience for our members. The passion and drive is palpable and is very contagious. Being in a startup (whether early or late stage) isn't for everyone but it has and continues to be an incredible learning environment. I have been in healthcare my entire career and at various times considered moving into new industries. I am so glad I decided to stay and rejuvenate my healthcare drive at Maven. I came to Maven because healthcare is personal to everyone and I was no exception. I love sharing the mission and vision with employers across the world. If you are looking to make a difference and influence change/diversity, Maven is the place for you. I truly feel supported from all levels of the organization.
Cons
My commentary here really isn't categorized as a "con" but more of an observation. With any growing organization, you have to experience growing pains. Maven has experienced that and continues to run the cycle all growing companies go through. Overall, I believe they have navigated those waters quite well. I hope to maintain a strong, family oriented culture while embracing change. I am confident with the direction of the company but hope we continue to bring on quality, talented people to drive forward in a positive direction.
