Pros

I identify with the mission

Cons

I know of 2 people who have already left because of the new return to office policy, and there is at least one other person looking to leave. We were hired with the promise that we could choose our own schedule and how often we wanted to come in, and now leadership is FORCING everyone to come in several times a week. The office is already loud and booking a room or phonebooth is a nightmare, so I can't imagine what it will be like when everyone is there. Leadership keeps saying they're listening to us and this is for our own good, but really they're just treating us like children. One of the reasons I took this job was because of the hybrid work policy and I feel very cheated and lied to.

Pros

I joined Maven in September because the mission resonated, and the work genuinely lives up to it. The impact on members isn't marketing language. It's the actual product of what people here do every day. A few things that have stood out: - I've already been promoted, which says a lot about how the company recognizes contribution and growth. - I have real autonomy to own my work and move things forward without being bottlenecked. - The culture is collaborative in a way that's rare, and people across the org have been generous with their time and support. If you care about doing meaningful work and want to be somewhere that bets on you early, Maven is worth a serious look.

Cons

Fast paced environment, but that's expected (and honestly part of the appeal) for a company in this stage of growth.

Pros

Met some coworkers turned life long friends

Cons

This place destroyed my mental health. Management does not care about you, they only care about the numbers on the paper.
