With our headcount growth close to 20% per year, we understand that some of our employees (who are amazing contributors and valued members of our organization) may not have been ready for the managerial positions that they were recently promoted into. We also recognize that having a supportive & qualified manager is vital to an employee’s personal growth and work life satisfaction. How are we going to fix this? Medidata is 100% committed to providing our new managers with the resources they need to succeed in their new roles. The Medidata Academy is an initiative dedicated solely to the growth & continued education of our current employees. From product training to Managing at Medidata, we are investing our resources into our people to ensure we are building up, and nurturing, our talent for the future. We are also working closely with second level managers to help them reinforce the message and accountability that “management” is the role of a manager, not solely doing I/C work.

Pros

The company was fantastic when I first started working there, the culture was embracing and supportive. Folks seem to care about your development at first and your growth.

Cons

After 3ds bought the company it started going downhill gradually, many c suite turnover, terminations and new latest CEO is clueless when it comes to executing the vision, while also making sure they continue delivering on NEXT all on all these features when at launch half of them don’t even work properly. Having spent years at the company I saw clients lose trust on the products and leadership, a lot of times CEO’s from client side would give advice on senior management on processes which being the vendor we should be the leaders on guidance not the other way around. Consider applying to other SaaS companies.
