Pros
Working here during COVID was very satisfying because we contributed directly to clinical trials for vaccines and therapies. Also the office and IT setups are great.
Cons
If you've been offered a job here, know that the company prompts new hires to post their "90 day review" of their experience so far directly to Glassdoor. The reviews aren't exactly fake, but who has anything bad to say about their employer after 3 months? Things move SLOW at Medidata. If you're from outside of the pharma industry, you'll really notice this. The company lost a lot of important contributors following the acquisition and subsequent reorgs. Middle management is almost entirely new as a result and a little lost. They're not handling it particularly well, and have taken up the Medidata mantle of having people work way too hard "just this once" instead of, you know, having a more realistic plan. This is costing them lots of good people and culture. It's a chaotic time to join the company, but I hope they can right the ship.
