Pros

- Flexible work schedule for remote/hybrid employees - Incredible support for medical needs - Fantastic insurance options

Cons

Medidata Solutions was purchased in late 2019 and has had a rough, ongoing transition period towards an owned subsidiary. Medidata has odd carve-outs with Dassault Systemes that can be difficult to navigate and makes it feel like a wholly separate entity rather than a part of the larger whole. I joined post-acquisition while the original CEOs were still in charge. They then passed the torch to two new CEOs who were quickly fired. A temporary CEO from Dassault was brought on until the current CEO was found as an internal hire. All of the shake ups in senior leadership has left the company feeling rudderless. It's lost good will from the employees. It feels like we're now playing catch up to competitors rather than running with the lead we had going into COVID. The company culture is rough. There's been a rough RTO mandate. They reclassified employees hired as remote to hybrid employees with little notification. The company that prided itself on its large in-person events has scaled back everything. It has not lived up to the company I was excited to join.

Pros

The company was fantastic when I first started working there, the culture was embracing and supportive. Folks seem to care about your development at first and your growth.

Cons

After 3ds bought the company it started going downhill gradually, many c suite turnover, terminations and new latest CEO is clueless when it comes to executing the vision, while also making sure they continue delivering on NEXT all on all these features when at launch half of them don’t even work properly. Having spent years at the company I saw clients lose trust on the products and leadership, a lot of times CEO’s from client side would give advice on senior management on processes which being the vendor we should be the leaders on guidance not the other way around. Consider applying to other SaaS companies.
