Pros

Great stepping stone career - get in learn, network, build clientele list then leave to a better company with a stronger offering.

Cons

This year marked a record low for the EMEA MM team. Strong experienced team members, who have since left, were labelled as 'unmotivated' and 'unintelligent for Medidata's sophisticated workload'. Interestingly, these individuals who have left have gone on to dominate in other companies. From day one, you shall be lied to on potential - 'endless accounts and opportunities', when in reality Medidata is run like 'an old boys club' - ironically, the old boys being female. At the top, you will be treated to the cream of the crop. If you happen to join the other side, well, good luck; it's nothing but a role of hard knocks. Leadership is lukewarm at best, and a leader who has her favourites. However, cracks are showing, with 0% growth and 30% at the target. MM EMEA is the poorest performer - consider yourself lucky if you ever got rejected. Important to note, there hasn't been a single public pay rise or promotion, so if you want career growth, you're in the wrong place. The only thing Medidata EMEA MM can offer you is a stepping-stone period in your career. Fun Fact: No pay rises, BUT leadership thought it fit to throw a 'Rocket Club' - separate to the President club, where leadership got to treat their favourites to a long weekend in Cancun in a luxury hotel! How lovely to announce, especially as they let go of 5% of staff 1 week prior

Pros

The company was fantastic when I first started working there, the culture was embracing and supportive. Folks seem to care about your development at first and your growth.

Cons

After 3ds bought the company it started going downhill gradually, many c suite turnover, terminations and new latest CEO is clueless when it comes to executing the vision, while also making sure they continue delivering on NEXT all on all these features when at launch half of them don’t even work properly. Having spent years at the company I saw clients lose trust on the products and leadership, a lot of times CEO’s from client side would give advice on senior management on processes which being the vendor we should be the leaders on guidance not the other way around. Consider applying to other SaaS companies.
