Pros

I experience very little drama on the inpatient side of the hospital. Everyone is very kind and helpful, including management! As a PCT that is also in nursing school, I have plenty of opportunities to participate in nursing care, and I am even allowed to do some nursing skills that other hospitals may not allow until you have your RN license! I have learned a lot here, everyone is great, there is plenty of opportunities to learn and grow with your position.

Cons

It’s a lot of responsibility for one role to handle with the amount of patients we are assigned regularly. I have only gone over ratio once, but the ratios are too high to begin with in my opinion.

Pros

Meaningful work helping patients and families navigate difficult situations. Strong collaboration with leadership, physicians, nurses, and multiple departments. Incredibly supportive team! Lots of room for growth.

Cons

Emotionally draining at times due to constant exposure to complaints, conflict, and crisis situations. Patient facing roles often involve hostility or unrealistic expectations. Heavy documentation and administrative workload.

Pros

Cheap in-network benefits, tuition reimbursement

Cons

Culture is toxic, that toxicity is reinforced by leadership. Hospital has no project management or structure for processes, projects, people. There is no upward mobility.
