Pros

The Holiday dinner and there really are a lot of good people who work in this organization

Cons

80% of Leadership lacks any leadership skills The company is top heavy Pay is not competitive They hate Technology When the employee engagement survey came out they decided to put on a pep rally of sorts when the CEO started it with “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” I took that as a hint to immediately go home and start filling out job applications and thankfully I am out

Pros

It's a job that might get you through the next couple of months.

Cons

Memorial prides itself and not being owned by another healthcare organization but with this pride, it's really the patients who suffer. There's no substantial well-rounded care. This hospital is merely a band-aid for a very ill population like Shiawassee County. The 'Human Resources Department' is made up of about five-ten people who sit there and talk crap about all of its employees and nail them to the cross for whatever. Management sucks in all departments - they're either absent/passive or like Human Resources - nail you to the cross for breathing wrong. Brian Long with president refuses to address real issues within the healthcare organization. Instead of purchasing new equipment that could benefit the community, they went ahead and built a pool and a salad bar in the new NOW Building. I think the employees and patients alike can agree this place is a joke. Insurance is under Trustmark which is a Cofinity package, and it SUCKS. It doesn't cover anything.
