Pros
This job isn’t for everyone. It’s a school of sales where you learn to pound the dirt & learn the grit/work ethic required to be successful in tech sales. I don’t remember this job being easy, but I remember it being worthwhile. Now that I’m a few years into my career as an AE, I can confidently look back and say I wouldn’t be half the rep I am today without my foundation of knowledge from memoryBlue. The work ethic, the sales techniques, how to take criticism/how to give it, how to have hard conversations. You can’t put a price tag on those soft skills. Oh and they teach you how to be an absolute savage on cold calls - another thing I absolutely couldn’t have put a price tag on but has for sure paid dividends throughout my time in a closing role. All in all, it’s the people that make it worth it. There’s tough days, but it’s the people to your right and left that make the culture what it is today. Again, this job is intense and not for everyone, but sales also isn’t for everyone. You get what you put in at memoryBlue.
Cons
Feeling micromanaged at points. Also, didn’t always feel like there was clear communication about what was going on with my client.
