Pros

Free coffee. That’s the only positive I can honestly list. In over 12 years of professional experience, this is by far the worst company I’ve worked for.

Cons

If you're considering Meridian Cooperative, please proceed with caution. I typically don’t write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. From day one, it was clear that employees are treated as nothing more than a number. The culture is performative — lots of smiles and “positive” messaging on LinkedIn, but the day-to-day reality is anything but. The environment is negative, energy is low, and there’s a pervasive sense of doom and gloom among the staff. The technology stack is severely outdated and plagued with issues. Breaches have occurred repeatedly, and yet there’s little accountability or urgency to modernize or improve. Senior leadership appears disengaged, coasting toward retirement while contributing little to the growth or morale of the teams. There is no structured training or support; you're thrown in and expected to figure things out on your own. What was most disturbing: a colleague of mine had to take time off to care for his newborn son who was in the hospital — and they fired him. That alone speaks volumes about the company’s values. I left for a much better opportunity and couldn’t be happier. This place is a sinking ship. If you’re desperate for a paycheck, it might suffice temporarily. But if you have options — run, and don’t look back.

Pros

I worked with a number of good, talented peers.

Cons

During my time with the company, there was significant organizational turmoil. Senior leadership often seemed disconnected from the day-to-day realities faced by employees, resulting in the push for software migrations before the products and processes were fully ready. Teams were understaffed, which placed additional pressure on employees, and the software lacked many features and enhancements needed for successful implementations. To the company's credit, many of these issues were eventually addressed, but not until after the departure of several talented and experienced employees.
