Pros
-Company is growing and in a stable industry (software development for utilities) -I believe C-Level management has the right intentions for running and growing the business. They WANT to do the right things. -There is great potential here for someone who can break through the middle management barriers.
Cons
As a former HR person who tried to influence change to better the organization, sadly I can confirm the other reviews. -HR Leadership is firmly planted in the past and quashes any recommendation for innovating HR practices. Many of my ideas never even got the ear of C-level management. - Most Sr. Managers have been with the company 15 years or more. It is a 'management club' that seems more interested in controlling employees rather than leading and developing them. - Trying to maintain the same management control structure that worked when they were 50 employees. Having difficulty (or refusing to admit difficulty) dealing with 300 employees effectively for the business. They don't seem to realize what ineffective HR and people practices are costing them. -If you're not part of the inside clique, then there is little hope you're going to grow in this organization. -
